Book Review – books with an Indiana automotive history connection or featuring a broad automotive context.
Over the course of researching two books Cruise IN: A guide to Indiana's automotive past and present, and Indiana Cars: A History of the Automobile in Indiana, I read numerous books related to automotive history.
The Book Review section is my attempt to share reviews of current and other auto-related books. Most of the books have an Indiana automotive history connection or feature a broad automotive context.
Learning about the people involved in creating Indiana’s early automotive history provides a glimpse into automaking across America. Some of the auto pioneers, like Carl G. Fisher, provided a heritage that we continue to enjoy today. Following these threads have provided me many hours of enjoyment.
I invite you to follow the Amazon.com book link on each selection to find your own copy. Many of the current editions may be available at your local library or at a research library. Some of the older versions are possibly available at Internet antiquarian bookshops.
So, kick off your shoes, or just kick back, and explore the many interesting stories included in the books on this virtual bookshelf.
